Jay and me at Winged Foot's West Course's 18th green. You would never guess it from looking at this photo but just 4 hours earlier rain was coming down sideways and in sheets. I don't know that I've ever seen it rain harder. You would have thought everyone would have gone home, but not at WFGC. They love golf so much here that when the rain finally did break there were still 30-40 people waiting to play! Several beers in the clubhouse while we were waiting led to our group having quite possibly the most embarrassing display of drives on the first tee that I've ever been witness to.
